A POINT THAT FEELS LIKE A VICTORY (0-0)

FC Badalona Women have earned a valuable point after drawing (0-0)at home against Real Sociedad.

The visitors, last season’s surprise package and Champions League participants, arrived needing a win and tried to make it happen from the very first minute. In the 35th minute, goalkeeper María Valenzuela was shown a red card, an incident that disrupted the team’s initial plans.

Despite being down to ten players, Marc Ballester’s side kept a clean sheet thanks to a tremendous defensive effort. They even had clear chances to score through Sheila, Lauri and Mirari. Txell Font was excellent between the posts, while Real Sociedad’s only real opportunity was a shot that struck the crossbar in stoppage time.

Badalona Women have now taken 7 points from their last 9 available and finish the matchday in fifth place.
