FC Badalona Women’s U12 team have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Liga Futura Moeve after completing an outstanding group stage campaign
The team recorded two wins and one draw against Atlético de Madrid, Madrid CFF and Deportivo Abanca to finish top of their group.
FC Badalona Women’s U12 team have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Liga Futura Moeve after completing an outstanding group stage campaign.
The Badalona side defeated Atlético de Madrid 0-1 thanks to a goal from Eli in a closely contested match. They then overcame Madrid CFF 0-2 with a brace from Amalia Garewal.
The Catalan team closed the group stage this morning with a 2-2 draw against Deportivo Abanca, with goals from Júlia and Amalia. With this latest strike, the forward has now scored three goals in three matches and has established herself as one of the tournament’s standout players.
Having finished top of the group, FC Badalona Women now await their quarter-final opponents, where they will face one of the tournament’s best third-placed teams following the draw that will take place later this afternoon at Sevilla FC’s José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Training Ground, the venue hosting the competition.
Liga Futura Moeve is the first grassroots women’s football tournament promoted by Liga F and Moeve. Throughout this weekend, some of the best academies in Spanish women’s football have gathered in Seville to compete in a tournament aimed at promoting the development and visibility of women’s youth football. Following an excellent group stage, FC Badalona Women will continue their journey in the fight for the title this afternoon.
