Defeat on Liga F Moeve debut at Lezama (3-1)

FC Badalona Women were unable to make a winning start to their Liga F Moeve campaign, suffering a 3-1 defeat against Athletic Club at Lezama.

Marc Ballester’s side made a strong start and took the lead in the 17th minute through Irina Uribe. Athletic responded and Clara Pinedo levelled the score before half-time. Deep into first-half stoppage time, Cubedo produced a crucial goal-line clearance to keep the scores level at the break.

After the restart, Athletic Club capitalised on two chances to turn the game around. Goals in the 70th and 76th minutessealed the final 3-1 scoreline.

FC Badalona Women now turn their attention to next weekend, when they travel to face RCD Espanyol in the first derby of the season.
