Marc Ballester renews with FC Badalona Women
The head coach of FC Badalona Women will continue leading the team during the 2026/2027 season

The Barcelona-born coach took over the team on an interim basis last November and has since managed to stabilize the squad during a crucial stage of the season. Under his leadership, the club reached the Copa de la Reina semifinals and, with two matchdays remaining in Liga F Moeve, currently sits comfortably in tenth place in the standings.
After three seasons working as an assistant coach in Liga F, Marc Ballester (Barcelona, 1997) will approach the 2026/27 season as his first full campaign leading a first team from the start of preseason.
Following the announcement of his contract renewal, Marc Ballester expressed his excitement about “being able to start building the team from preseason and transmitting my playing philosophy from day one. During these past months, we have already seen aspects that we want to strengthen with the aim of taking another step forward next season.”
Ferran Cabello, the club’s Sporting Director, positively valued the coach’s continuity: “Marc arrived at a complex moment and managed to bring stability to the team while competing in very demanding scenarios. Marc and his coaching staff have the ability to take the team to the next level. We have full confidence in them to make that step forward.”
Meanwhile, Pedro Iriondo, CEO of FC Badalona Women, highlighted Ballester’s connection to the project: “We want to continue consolidating the club among the elite of Spanish women’s football and do so with people who truly know and feel this club. Marc has been part of our structure for years, and that has enormous value. His understanding of the project and of the work we do with our academy is key to continuing to build from within.”
