Izarne Sarasola strengthens FC Badalona Women's defence
The Basque defender joins the Badalona side after her spell at FC Nantes and becomes a new addition to the squad for the 2026/27 season
FC Badalona Women have announced the signing of Izarne Sarasola for the 2026/27 season. The 24-year-old Basque defender joins from FC Nantes after competing in the French Première Ligue, becoming the latest addition to Marc Ballester's squad.
Developed at Real Sociedad, where she spent seven seasons, Sarasola won the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup with Spain before beginning her spell in French football. After recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered last season, she returns to Liga F ready to bring experience, defensive solidity and competitiveness to the FC Badalona Women back line.
With this signing, the club continues to strengthen its squad and build an ambitious project ahead of its second season in the top flight of Spanish women's football.
